Ivan works as visiting researcher at GRIB (Barcelona) and is CTO and cofounder of Moirai Biodesign. Ivan obtained his PhD in computer science in 2006 at the Autonomous University of Madrir. After that, he worked as a postdoctoral student at the Brown University, as senior software engineer at Dynadec (Providence, RI) and as research professor in the Boston College. Ivan is an expert in combinatorial optimization applications; more specifically, he recently works in computational biology in RNA design. Ivan has several publications in high impact journals such as Science, Genome Research, Nucleic Acids Research or PLOS Computational Biology.
